Abstract:

Views of the Los Angeles Aqueduct during construction, some if not all taken in the Jawbone Canyon region of the Mojave Desert. 1: Joseph B. Lippincott (engineer), Fred Eaton (Los Angeles politician) and an unidentified man posing in a horse-drawn carriage placed inside of a large section of pipe; 2: Section of aqueduct constructed along incline in Jawbone Canyon area; 3: unidentified woman and 3 men working on construction railway next to pipeline; 4: Construction scene depicting concrete aqueduct pipeline supports, desert hills in background; 5: Desert mountain landscape depicting aqueduct pipeline construction; 6: Pipeline construction scene with men atop pipeline channel framework; 7: Unidentified man posing next to a Joshua tree.
